Queen

Whenever we use the word Queen in terms of bed sizes, it inevitably refers to the size that, on standard measurements, is second to the largest bed size available – almost in the same as it is applied in the hierarchy of royal family. But how will you know exactly when you need a Queen Size bed?

On most occasions, this kind of bed is used by couples who love to be close and cozy. Since the size is not too large, nor too small, two adults can easily have a good night’s sleep on this bed. So are you married or wish to stay in a house with that someone special or simply thinking of providing your room with a new renovated look, where only two will be accommodated? Then Queen-bed will definitely be a great choice. The elegant size will definitely give an extra added beauty to the room. Read on to know more!

The Queen is larger than the ‘full’ or ‘double’ size bed as it is commonly known and definitely gives the couple extra space and comfort. However, on many occasions, the measurements of the Queen beds vary from one part of the world to the other. And therefore while the Queen bed in the US is the larger than the one in the UK and is of the size of the UK’s King bed. On the other hand, the size in the rest of Europe is more than all of these.

The major advantage of Queen Beds is that these can be placed in smaller rooms, guest rooms and small master rooms. Nevertheless, they have their share of disadvantages too and that is, the space provided by the bed is enough but not very comfortable. The couple will have to sleep very close to each other at all times, and the space available to each of the partners is much lesser than that provided by twin bed if slept alone. The beds are available in wood, metal, wrought iron and others.
